“Shelley is right, you can do it. I am a self taught crocheter using YouTube tutorials. But I wanted to learn how to read a pattern and Shelley’s work impressed me. So I bought this book and set off. For the first pattern I could not understand the written pattern at all and followed Shelley’s tutorial online the whole way, thinking I’ll never be able to understand it. Same with pattern no 2. By pattern 3 I was improving with the written pattern and no 4 was better again. I’m up to no 5 now and I’m doing it completely using the written pattern. No need for the video at all.
